Accreditation, Certificates, and Diplomas
The Island Grove Bible College does not give any of these, because we believe this is a secular custom which is not found in the Bible. Many Christian Colleges do supply such things and it is difficult to depart from old customs and established ideas. But few realize the loss that is sustained by many in long courses of study. Much that is crowded into the brain is of no value, yet students suppose this education to be all-sufficient, and after years of study they leave school with their diplomas, believing that they are men and women properly educated and ready for service. In many cases this preparation for service is nothing more than a farce, yet it will continue until teachers receive the wisdom of heaven through the influence of the Holy Spirit.
In many cases accreditation, certificates, and diplomas are given out to people who have gained a head knowledge of a certain subject, but have never had practical or a heart experience which is vital for anyone who wished to go to heaven and lead others there also. It is also true that many people who never learned their lessons properly are also given accreditation, certificates, and diplomas.
Neither Christ nor His disciples gave any written certificates out for those who joined them in the spreading of the Gospel Message. It is only through the power of God that understanding, knowledge, and ability is given to us to be able to effectively spread the Gospel Message.
Gather a stock of knowledge. Do not wait until some human examination pronounces you competent to work, but go out into the highways and hedges, and begin to work for God. Use wisely the knowledge you have. Exercise your ability with faithfulness, generously imparting the light that God gives you. Study how best to give to others peace and light and truth and the many other rich blessings of heaven. Constantly improve. Keep reaching higher and still higher. It is the ability to put the powers of mind and body to useful work, ever keeping eternal realities in view, that is of value now. Seek the Lord most earnestly, that you may become more and more refined, more spiritually cultured. Then you will have the very best diploma that anyone can have - the endorsement of God.

This is a short article about our relationship with Jesus Christ, because without the saving power of Jesus Christ in our lives we have no hope of salvation.
How Do I Study?
Before commencing the three college courses we recommend that you do the preliminary Bible Studies. These are 31 basic Bible Studies which give a basis for the rest of the studies of this course.
Set aside a certain amount of time each day or week in which you will complete the courses. Try to stick to your schedule the best you can. If you don’t all it will mean is that it will take you longer to complete the courses than you originally thought. If you wish to take a break at any time during your studies, that is entirely up to you. Although we recommend continuous constant effort as opposed to hit and miss study, because people tend to learn and retain what they have learned better that way.
The Island Grove Bible College is divided into three courses - 1. Bible Studies; 2. Health and Hygiene Studies; and 3. Practical Exercises. Each of these courses are divided into modules. The module of each section is to be completed with the corresponding module of the other two sections. For example, module 1 in Bible Studies is to be completed with module 1 in Health and Hygiene Studies, and module 1 of Practical Exercises.
Read through the lesson and all the quotes and references given. Write your answers on a piece of paper, or type them up on a computer, which ever you prefer. Repeat the quotes to be memorized until you can say them off by heart. Follow all the instruction in the “Further Study” section, making sure that you either write or type all of your answers. Always keep in mind that the more you repeat something the better you will remember it.
These studies are designed to be done either by a single individual, or as a group. Your answers can be sent back to us for marking if you so desire, or you can complete them solely for your own purposes.
The aim of this college course is to equip people with the information, knowledge, and ability to spread the Gospel message to the ends of the world. This of course can only be achieved if a person is dedicated to God and filled with the Holy Spirit. As man always looks at the outward appearance and God who looks at the heart, it is only God who truly knows who is fitted for such jobs. This being the case we leave it up to Him to truly qualify people for the spreading of His Word.
